I am not sure if USCIS will move beyond April 2004 until Jan 2009 due to the holidays and election and as someone said they want to take it easy. Even if they move the dates it does'nt help unless they approve cases with certain process in place.

Pappu, then why no to plan for another letter campaign, if that is what making things work a little bit.
It will work only if we can have 10s of thousands of letters.
If admin fixes had so many letters we would have been in a better spot today. With only 5 thousand or something letters and many of them anonymous, we cannot have our hopes very high.
Unless people suffering take the initiative, our initiatives will have a hard time getting results. IV is every member here (and not just core members or chapter leaders) and if members feel the heat of retrogression, they need to take the initiative and get active.
Hope this bulletin will help people focus on action items.

There are 2 options in my opinion.
1. Secure an appointment with the local ASC and have them expedite this case if you want to travel early. They may require some supporting documents. The appointment can be made via Infopass at http://infopass.uscis.gov/index.php
2. Call USCIS at the number on your receipt notice. Select a series of numbers as per the prompts to talk to a Service Rep. Tell them your urgency to travel and they will expedite your case. It will take 5 business days from the date the request gets expedited to get a response back from USCIS.

I was hoping against all odds that this was not going to be true when they announced it last month. The iron is that I have been current for the last 2 months now. But when one thing reaches the goal, the other slows down. The damn TSC is was processing June applications while mine is early August. I am hoping that they allocated my file so that when they reach August date, visa would be available for me.
I have EAD and AP and alos have h1 until 2010. in 2010, I would have completed 11 years on H1b visa. My company maybe doing layoffs in the next few months, and I was hoping to get my GC by then. I dont wish to to use EAD because I have a DWI and its safe to stay on H1 for that.
how are the oppourtunities out there for Quality Aussrance/ Analysts.

How about placing a fast forward button and soon you will realized that the US Immigration DOS will issue a spectacular Visa Bulletin for April 2009. See the results of the said bulletin. The Employment base Visas will be current except China. So how did the USCIS allocate these number of Visas, for sure Obama had precedent a recapture except China.

Heres the sliver lining of all this immigration mess. Its good for spiritual development. I came here 10 years ago in mid 20s. My understanding of Indian philosophy was rudimentary at best. Now I have found reading and meditating on the meaning of Gita is one of the best ways for me to deal with the GC mess, and life in general. So I wonder if GC had been a smooth process would I have still discovered the beauty of the Gita?

So what are trying to prove ? Generally i dont respond but this just shows that you have a lot of time. Why dampen people's spirits by such post or why try to say that whatever IV has done is a waste. That is what i get from what you have posted. If you are cynical, keep it to your own self, dont start such negative threads. I noticed soft LUD on 485s last week for me and my wife...not sure what that means..

I see lot of cases of EB2-I with PDs of 2005/06 and EB3- I with PDs 2003/04 have recentely received LUDs/RFEs.
