FYI I received my EAD card this morning!!! I know yours are all coming soon! It never updated online it just said that the approval notice was sent- it never said card ordered.

I took an infopass appointment today. The IO sent an e-mail to NSC after taking details like DOB, address etc. for me and my wife.
btw, FP for us has been scheduled. Looks like they have some kind of a queue for that but a notice has not been sent out.
So that was it. Am going to wait it out patiently.
I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

I am wondering none of these senators who responded as of now understand our request for adding the provision of recapturing unused visas. Please read below response from IOWA senator and not even one word about our request.

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

My application was sent on Aug 7th reached USCIS (NSC)on Aug 8th. Recieved my reciept # on Sep 24 from lawyer. But my wife hasn't recieved the RN. Was wondering if any one are in the same boat.

As you have efiled your EAD the FP you have received might not necessarily mean the FP for 485, it could be just for EAD. Gurus any comment!!
Well in my opinion(although it doesn't count) an FP is an FP and it is for I-485 and EAD happens to use biometric information on the card.
I 'll try not to lose my sleep over it... chill!!!!!!!

I wish and pray that God gives strength to you and your family in this difficult situation. And as fellow IV'ns have mentioned, Prayer and Faith in Life/Almighty can do wonders. By the attitude in your note, I do feel you have that ... and somehow I have a feeling things will be fine for you and your family.
As suggested by many people, if possible, please do get a 2nd opinion from a renowned doctor in India. And do start Yoga/Pranayam. Meditation and proper breathing exercise have helped folks with very serious conditions and these are surely worth trying.
And for your GC, I would second the suggestions of writing to senator and USCIS.
Your family should be your reason to continue to have faith and NOT give up...

We landed in Canada (Rainbow Bridge, Niagara) last week. No questions asked by Canadian immigration regarding stay in US. On the way back (Rainbow Bridge) US IO did not ask anything about 485 or Canada PR.
We filed AOS in July 2007 and have valid H1 visa in the passports. But it all depends on your luck and we had some personal reasons to land in Canada and we took the risk.

I think some result will come in the bill sooner or later. if not this year may be next year bill will be passed. Probably most of the immigration provisions will be Amended to get a some releif for everyone. H1 cap may be increased to 115k. No of greencards will not be 650k. may be Double the current number than 650k. There will be strong opposition for big increase of immigration. The reason is lot of americans lost job in IT because of outsourcing and h1s. The impact might be mild as most of them landed in another job as ecomomy slowly improved. If no possiblity of passing the bill it will be killed in 2 or 3 months. On the other hand If delayed for next year the bill will be passed in some form. Bush will try to give relief to illegals before he leaves office.

My case is similar to yours: dates, TSC, received EAD before receipts, don't know who paid the checks, etc.
I inquired my attorney and they sent me the receipts. Ask them, they would have received it already.

I got an email today from USCIS stating this
Current Status: Card production ordered.
I did not receive any other approval notice. I hope this means that our 485 is approved and the cards have been ordered ?
