i don't normally go for tricked-up stuff, but this one kind of hooked me. I did the "Ansel Adams" conversion to B&W which gave me a contrasty and "antique' look. Then I merged it with the original at about 45%.
This gave the shot a very surreal look.

I took infopass last week in NYC and the officer told me she will contact the TSC office and get it going and gave us a document signed by her stating the same. She asked us to come back in 45 days if nothing happens.
I doubt anything will happen, I am sure I will go back in 45 days and at that time they will say, you are not current anymore or some other reason.

hey Waiting Game,
the consulate in mumbai is in a very expensive area called 'breach candy' its like the beverly hills in CA.
however, u may get decent stay outside 'Dadar' or 'bombay central' railway station. these are close to the consulate but since u have a morning hour commute towards downtown mumbai, it will take at least 30-45 minutes. so give urself adequate time. avoid 'bandra', churchgate, grant road areas.
if u just need to spend the nite, u can spend it on the airport.
let know if any questions and wish u all the best.

I am a Commercial/Industrial Architect and have allready had to turn down 2 jobs this year making double what i make here in hicksville Fresno CA due to the fact that i do not have a green card.
As far as the investor visa,i have looked into this too with my attorney and i am not elligible,even though i have the funds,due to the fact that my previous attorney did not file my papers on time in 2000 and therfore had to refile under 245i in 2001 and i am paying the price along with 30 other clients of the crooked attorney who ran away to another state.
My earnings this yr were above your guys fugures but Uncle Sam takes a very large chunk due to being single,no real estate in my name and no tax write offs.

I came to US 5 years back in H4. My husband processed GC and 140 is cleared and 485 pending. I got my EAD and now working. My husband and I have problems and he is threatening to ruin my life.
Can I know a few things
1. Can he take me out of the GC ?
2. Can he revoke my EAD ?
3. Can my employee extend my EAD which is expiring in 2010 and continue my GC.
please help...
If you are on a H4, you can be taken out of the pending 485 if you go through a divorce.
1. Possibly can with a divorce.
2. #1, can be considered automatically revoked if divorced.

Now what are my options going forward and how does this affect my chances of a successful PERM filing ??

Hi,
I am in a unique situation as far as capture of earlier PD is concerned.
My company had filed an LC for me in EB3 with PD of Oct '03.
I get fed up waiting for that and got another LC filed with PD Nov 05 in EB2.
I have got my I140 approved for the same and also 3yr ext. based on that as well.
My EB3 LC is approved as well now.
My question to somehow capture the PD of my EB3 LC.
Is it possible ? Is anyone in the same boat ?

My Labor approval uses something that starts with 030-16-**** but there is nothing in SOC with 16 are they changed recently? any clue?
Thats the old D.O.T code. You need to find the corresponding SOC Code.

Just posting my experience of traveling on AP as a reference for others:
I traveled to Japan on a business visit with all 3 copies of my AP , and on return stood in the normal visitor line. When I came up to the officer, he said I should go to the "new immigrants" line, since only those officers have the necessary parole stamps.
In the other line, the officer said it was good that I brought all three copies, since they stamp all three, keep one original for themselves and return two back. The next time I travel, they will stamp the two I have, keep one and return one to me. After that, they will stamp the one original I have left, and make copies for themselves.
The officer did not ask any special questions, except which city I stay in, the rest of it was just chit-chat.
Simple process, no hassles.

Let me rephrase it. With current Globalization and other means to come to US such as B1,L1 etc....why are we stuck to this phase for years.

Hello,
There was a lot of talk about the time between the passing of the CIR and it's implementation. I was wondering exactly how much time would it take from the time the bill was passed (assuming it had our provisions) and it actually becoming a law. Some say 3 months some say 6 months. I sent in my I-140,I-485,EAD & AP applications to Nebraska Service Center which was the nodal agency to receive all I-140 applications during July -August 2007. They then would transfer some of the cases to TSC for processing. Due the visa bulletin fiasco, my applications were transferred to VSC for data entry and all my receipts have an EAC number. I received my EAD & AP and also a transfer notice informing that my I-485 was transferred to TSC as my job is in a state that comes under TSC's jurisdiction. But I did not hear anything about my I-140 being transferred to TSC. So we called up USCIS to check on it. We were informed that VSC would process my I-140 application and it was not necessary for it to be transferred to TSC unlike I-485.
My concern is VSC is taking for ever to process I-140's and currently are processing Apr 06 applications. I believe the dates have remained like that for a while now. Atleast TSC says clearly that they will process I-140 in 6 months, but VSC has no such processing times mentioned. Due to no fault of mine, my application ended up in VSC and is stuck there until some kind folks pick them for reviewing..which may take more than a year going by the current processing times. Is there anything I could do to have it transferred to TSC? Are there other members in the same situation? There is no likelihood of PPS starting anytime soon....what are my options to fix this problem? I thought under the new bi-specialization procedures only NSC & TSC processed I-140 applications...

I also had submitted with my I-94 attached. I forgot to remove it. It was stapled and I got it back with my old passport. So dont worry.
