I wonder how many who come here on H4 know what complexities lay ahead in the G.C processing. unfortunately it is not easy to undo their marriage and go back.
They need a fair deal too just like the way those in EB-3 are waiting for a proposal that addresses their issues more directly rather than trickle down. I guess u r one of them.
I dont know how much u know about G.C before u came here. I am yet to understand it clearly.

TO add to that the goof ups by the immigration lawyers and their para-legals certainly confuses the hell out of u.
Most ppl who apply for GCs are unaware about retrogression and PBEC problems at the onset. Even if they are aware u think, "well, my labour will take abt a year or so so by then hopefully things will become current". Now if we as H1s dont know the deal here, H4's CERTAINLY dont know the deal and it takes them a LOT more time to grasp the reality of things coz they have to absorb many other things like learning how to drive here, learning how the credit system works here etc etc etc.
All that being said, i would ask the H4's to try and avoid pointing blame at the IV members. This is not an easy process for sure. We are in NO position to demand anything from the US Govt. Whatever progress we have made is also quite phenomenal. I Still cant believe we collected even $100,000+ !! Right now the best strategy is to solve the primary applicant's problems and try and get the dependents problems go away along with that.

My I-485 was mailed on June 1'st. Attorney haven't received receipts yet.
But my checks to USCIS got cashed yesterday. There are two numbers starting with SRC......but I dont know why there are two numbers instead of one.

Just called the service center and reply I got back was weird. Apparently their case status viewing system is down and will not be up and running for another 1 week. So, no info as of now and call back in 1 week :(

Removal of country limits temporarily and permanently, will both require the support of the majority of both houses of the congress. It will require as much effort to to remove country limits temporarily as it will require to remove country limits permanently.
Some folks here just wants to remove country limits till the time they get their agree card i.e. for the span of 2 years. If removal of country limits is good for EB community and America, then why only remove it for 2 years ONLY.
Such a campaign is likely to divide this community. PLEASE DO NOT divide the community by supporting this mis-directed agenda.
If country caps can be removed temporarily then they can be removed permanently. But asking for less than what key lawmakers have already proposed less than 6 months back is like shooting ourselves in the foot. PLEASE DO NOT throw others under the bus. PLEASE!!!!

All 140K GCs are available on Oct 1. However, dates were not current in 2005 and 2006. I think that current dates do not depend on available GCs.
Looks like current dates depend on # submitted AOS's. USCIS is saying that on Jul 2 it has submitted AOS's that exhaust submitted AOS quota.

India is allocated only 10,000 visas in all categories(EB1+EB2+EB3). dates will never be current, given around 700K applicants were ready to file. out of the 700K I imagine atleast 35% will be from india, which translate to around 250K applicants from india who are ready to file I-485, india is given 10K , u can do the math and find out for yourself how much time it will take for the dates to be current.

Friends - I have self respect and i wasn't born chanting Green Card. I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. TOGETHER WE STAND, VICTORY/JUSTICE FOR ALL. If you are still hesitant, you made a bad choice of choosing option 2. Please go back to option 1.

He refers to all the DOLLARS he has paid for , which means, all EAD and AP renewals ( For self and spouse) , Additional Lawyer fees incase of incorrect NOID, additional Bio-Metrics fees.
Wait till you hear the actual Lawsuit. Long way to go. But your post helped us to clarify what we are talking about to rest of the folks like you, incase, they misinterpreted the information.
