I-485 filing date: July 17th, 2007
Paper based EAD application Received date: Aug 8th, 2008
LUD : Aug 12th, 2008
Card Production Ordered : Aug 16th, 2008
Card Received by mail : Aug 21st,2008 ( valid for 2 years)
Whole process took around 2 weeks.

Apparently you completely missed the point. I am asking core members to participate in discussion on these forums, not to put sensational headlines that excites people. Hope that helps.
IV is making efforts to prepare for the coming coming months. It involves but not limited to funding drive to sustain and grow efforts, membership drive to grow in size and have impact of numbers, generating awareness and building support via media articles. I will definitely call senator's office and talk and even take appointment. For me the senators nearest office is 150 miles drive one way. But I will do that.
The House representitive's office is less than half a mile's drive. But he is a member of Toncredo's immigration caucus and it is plain useless to talk to them.
The highlighted message is the key to the next step.
At most times you are likely to get such automated responses and message would be ignored unless backed up by lobbying effort. Each campaign is carefully crafted and the strategy is based on our ongoing lobbying efforts.This is why we ask for a focused message and followup instead of sending junk emails (from online petitions) and thinking our work is done after hitting the submit button. It is a waste of time and energy and misleads the community in what they should be doing to get attention to their issues. Sending email is just one tiny step towards the advocacy work. Next step is to call the office and follow up about the email. Tell them you are not satisfied with such a response on an important issue. Tell them that you want to talk to someone about your letter and also wants to meet them in their office as you are a constituent and part of a national organization. Processing dates doesn�t mean they don�t process applications received after those dates.
I got my H1B renewal notice last week. My application�s received date is in 3rd week of Jan and Processing date for H1B extension is still in December-07.
Yes this was a recent change in the way they reported processing dates. Instead of reporting which date they are working on "now", they now publish the receipt date of the earliest application that is still being processed.
That explains the "retrogression", if you will, of processing dates of TSC after the initiation of the new NC rule. A lot of applications stuck in NC suddenly became available for processing, and hence the RD of the "earliest" case under processing had to be moved back.

by the way,
lawsuite and all will never get us to a point where we want. nobody can force
the state department or the USCIS to forcefully accept 700K applications, and then for next 20 years the dates will be struck. specially for people who have been waiting since 2000,2001 and 2002 cannnot be clubed together with people who came in 2006 or 2007, that is going to be fairly injustice and they know that.
I think it will be better to focus our energy on legislative changes or else nothing will get done, no body can push 700K applications down to the throats of USCIS when that have already exausted the quota.
better focus on contacting senators or house members to get some legislative relief.

Ha ha Congrats....
Story of my life. I complain about delay with my application. Someone joins me and tells me they are in the same boat and the very next day that someone leaves the boat and jumps into "greener" pastures. Everyone is leaving the boat and I seem to be left out :(

My wife and I just received the email about card production order. And, ou4 case status has changed on the website to CPO. I wish good luck to all of you. In case it helps, anyone, our details:

SR opened for my petition around July 17th: Response stated that my petition was in the adjudications department, and was for an officer to be assigned.
Status enquiry through the local congresswoman Aug 12th: Same result as my SR.
SR opened for my wife Aug., 10th: No response yet
Infopass appointment on Aug. 16th: Both petitions with an officer since Aug. 12th.
I appreciate the forum and all the support it offers. Donated last month.

Folks have you noticed the options on dice when you have to fill up your profile. makes you choose if you are EAD or GC or Citizen or h1b or any other. Now, does it not create a situation where employers can filter you?
In all other websites like Monster, hotjobs etc... the choices are
(1) Authorized to work for any employer
(2) Authorized to work for currrent employer

which makes more sense.

did anyone did canada landing having no or expired visa & already used advance parole( i used advance parole for travel to India and my i-94 shows my status as AOS)

Like poste din another thread, I called USCIS customer service today to speak about EAD application that has been pending for 60+ days. The Phone rep told that he cannot give me any information about any cases right now since their "system is down". I asked for clarificationand he said that cases are still being processed but the system used to view status is down. Not sure what that means.
Not sure if this will cause any more delays .............. I need EAD renewed by Sept since my current one expires then
Also anybody has any ideas on what "Plan B" might be if renewal is further delayed by sept?

I think the above statement is correct. There are 1000s of EB3 I folks in IV and they could have very well contributed a quarter or even a million bucks. My question is, what will happen after that?
